Germantown Historical Society Annual Hunsrucker Oktoberfest is right around the corner
Soon the 9 acres of Dheinsville Settlement will be witness to a German Celebration that rivals all the rest. The Hunsrucker Oktoberfest will host authentic German food, beverages (of course), music like Copper Box and dancing. In less than one month, Sept 25 and 26, the yodeling will begin!
By back popular demand is the Beer Boot. A handy, dandy beverage holder; a must have for the collector. The Festival is free, as is parking. Admission to the Bast Bell Museum is half price with a donation to the food shelf.
Better than free?
Be a volunteer at the event and earn NHS credit, use the hours for confirmation or other requirements, or gather your co-workers and work shifts together. It is a great event and not only do you get in for free; you get an official commemorative t-shit, a brat and a beverage….on the house. Honestly, can you think of a better way to send summer off until next year?
The hours for the Oktoberfest volunteering will be 3 hour shifts starting at 11am to 9pm on Sat , Sept 25 and Sun , Sept 26from 11am to 9pm.
