MATC-Mequon to Host Renewable Energy Seminars for Homeowners, Small Business Owners

April 15, 2009

Two renewable energy seminars for homeowners and small business owners will be offered in late April at Milwaukee Area Technical College’s Mequon Campus, 5555 W. Highland Road. “PV Systems for Your Home” will be held Tuesday, April 21, and “Solar Water Heating Systems for Your Home” will be offered Tuesday, April 28. Both will be held from 6-8 p.m. in the Lecture Hall, Room A289. The cost per person, per seminar is $15 (or $5 per seminar for Energy for Tomorrow customers).

Each workshop will introduce attendees to current technology, site selection, system sizing, available financial incentives and installer selection. Reference materials and Focus on Energy fact sheets will be provided. Demonstration equipment will be available for viewing. Hands-on activities are included in the PV (photovoltaic) Systems seminar. There are no pre-requisites for either seminar.

MATC is partnering with the Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA), Focus on Energy and We Energies to offer the seminars. Attendees may pay at the door, or register at http://www.we-energies.com/business_new/altenergy/workshop.htm. For more information, call 715-592-6595.
