NEWS AND NOTES

Meeting notes: We heard lots of good stories about how well the Wine & Beer Tasting went. Ken Snyder was entitled to gloat a little, but he contributed a happy dollar for the completion of the event for another year. Eli Potkonjak paid a dollar to show how happy he was to have a speaker already for December 11, but he was also happy about all the energy last Friday night. Bob Reinhardt paid for a commercial for a friend who is looking for a marketing-type job (call Bob with leads). John Foley paid a buck to tell about his college roommate's approach to election day, which is to deny both parties his vote. Dave Eppelheimer paid a dollar to remember his New Hampshire forebears on election day. Taylor Poehls paid for a chance to show off (?) his moustache and tell about Movember, a moustache growing contest intended to raise awareness of men's health issues (check it out at http://us.movember.com). Tom Anstett paid a dollar to celebrate all the work that went into last Friday evening.

Beer & Wine Tasting: Ken announced that the attendance was probably the best ever. Ken also reminded everyon that we will have our meeting on Downer Avenue on November 20 and will do some shopping at Downer Wine & Spirits to express our thanks for their support for the tasting event. Please remember to thank anyone you solicited auction items from.

Programs: The assignment list is attached to the e-mail version of the bulletin. If you can't find a speaker for your assigned day, please trade with someone else who is assigned to a day when you can find a speaker. When you have your program arranged please tell Dave Eppelsheimer and Kevin Sjostrom.

Members: Taylor announced that he had a visit with Warren Breitlow, who would love to have visitors.

Meetings: Tuesday noon, Mayfair Mall Community Room
