An Evening Of Change And Possibility At Unitarian Church North

Nov. 27, 2010

Unitarian Church North, Mequon, will host an evening’s exploration of change in our lives on Tuesday, December 7, from 7:00 to 8:15 p.m. The event will feature the DVD Nothing is Permanent Except Change: Learning to Manage the Transitions in Your Life. The event is free and open to the public.

“As the season changes from autumn to winter, we, too, journey through the real and spiritual darkness of winter with the hope of spring,” said Rev. Julie Forest, minister of Unitarian Church North. “When we face change and loss, we go through a transition which may feel like stagnation, but much is really going on in this period.”

Whether the changes faced are loss of a loved one, job, health, home, or memories of a time gone by, the DVD Nothing is Permanent Except Change: Learning to Manage the Transitions in Your Life provides insight into the inevitability of change and how to manage it. Its beautiful photography of scenes from nature and wisdom from the ages offers ideas for negotiating each part of the three-fold process of change.

Unitarian Church North is at 13800 N. Port Washington Road. Please call or email Unitarian Church North at info@ucnorth.org if you plan to attend. This meeting is offered by the church’s Care for Caregivers and the Shared Ministry Committee.

Unitarian Church North is an active, welcoming Unitarian Universalist congregation. In the quest for an authentic, personal theology, members consider the wisdom of the world’s great religious and ethical teachings as well as their own direct experience, conscience and

thoughtfulness. The congregation includes people of many faith perspectives, including agnostics and humanists, who join together on their religious journeys and work to inspire spiritual and ethical growth; promote free religious expression; create a diverse and inclusive community; and work for justice in our world.
