River Hills - The village on Nov. 16 became the first North Shore community to adopt a resolution placing advisory referendums about the County Board on the village ballot for the April 3 election.
Question 1 asks if Milwaukee County Supervisors should be compensated at a part-time level. They are currently paid a full time salary.
Question 2 asks if the size of the Board of Supervisors should be reduced from 18 to nine.
Similar questions are expected to be on all local ballots.
The County Board reduced its size from 19 to 18 as of January, but the Intergovernmental Cooperation Council, frustrated because it believes the County Board failed to listen to the concerns of the 19 communities it represents during county budget deliberations have suggested local communities determine their appetites for the referendums.
The board unanimously approved the referendums.
