1A 39-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving and driving after revocation in the 9300 block of North Port Washington Road at 10:45 p.m. March 22. Police were alerted after a report of a man who appeared intoxicated stumbled into a Glendale hotel asking for directions to Center Street in Milwaukee. When asked for his driver's license he said, "I don't have one." The man, who seemed "very confused" and had no idea where he was, was unable to finish field sobriety tests and after almost falling down said he had a bad knee. His blood alcohol content was 0.21.
2An 18-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding 85 mph in a 55 mph zone in the 8500 block of Interstate 43 at 2:25 a.m. March 24. There was a strong marijuana odor in the car and when asked if he was smoking he said, "Yes. Cigarettes?" The answer was no, marijuana." A little more than 2 grams of marijuana was found in a large boot on the floor along with a glass pipe with residue. The man was taken for a blood draw.
3A male, age and residence not released, was arrested for drunken driving, open intoxicants, refusal to take breath test and speeding 54 mph in a 35 mph zone in the 7600 block of North Sherman Boulevard at 2:25 a.m. March 13. An open beer was in the car. He was taken for a blood draw.
4Electronics valued at more than $600 including a video game console, two controllers and video games were taken from an apartment in the 8300 block of North 46th Street during the day March 13. There was no sign of forced entry. Some of those games were found in a black bag in the 8400 block of North 57th Street on March 16.
5A person, age, gender and residence not released, was arrested for drunken driving after a one-car accident in the 8900 block of North Arbon Drive at 7:10 p.m. March 13. The person was taken for blood draw.
6A male, age and residence not released, was arrested for drunken driving and speeding 61 mph in a 40 mph zone in the 8800 block of North 60th Street at 2:15 a.m. March 14. He was taken for a blood draw.
7A male, age and residence not released, was arrested for a strong-armed robbery in the 4900 block of West Brown Deer Road about 12:30 p.m. March 14. The suspect took a wallet from his grandmother, first grabbing her arm causing pain. He then fled the scene getting on a bus where he was arrested. On the bus where he had been sitting, police found a bag with a rubber strap, syringes and a metal cap with drug residue and a grocery store receipt. The suspect denied the bag was his but the store was contacted and surveillance video revealed the suspect getting that receipt.
8Four tires were slashed on a car in the 8700 block of North Deerwood Drive sometime March 17 or 18. The amount of damage was not listed.
9A man, age and residence not released, was arrested for drunken driving, with a prior conviction, and driving left of center in the 6100 block of West County Line Road at 3 a.m. March 17. When asked how much he had to drink, he said, "Nothing." His blood alcohol content was 0.19.
10A student was arrested for possession of tobacco and a dangerous weapon, a box cutter, at Brown Deer High School, 8060 N. 60th St., at 3:35 p.m. March 19. The items were found in a girls' restroom.
One domestic violence incident was reported this week.
11A man, age and residence not released, was arrested for drunken driving and driving with an expired license after pulling into the Porticos parking lot 500 of West Bradley Road at 4:50 p.m. March 16. His license had expired in 2011 and he said he needed to pass an eye test to have it renewed. He failed field sobriety tests and when asked if he'd been drinking said he had a half glass of wine at lunch. His BAC was 0.21.
12A 20-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for underage drinking and driving after revocation after he was stopped for driving without lights in the 6500 block of North Range Line Road at 2:12 a.m. March 14. The man admitted drinking but refused to take a breath test.
13A 25-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for driving while impaired, possession of 0.2 grams of marijuana, failure to have insurance, driving without a license - she never had one - and warned for driving the wrong way on a divided highway and speeding in the 5600 block of Norh Port Washington Road at 1:25 p.m. March 14. The woman admitted drinking two beers and smoking marijuana two hours before but said she didn't know she wasn't supposed to smoke marijuana and drive adding that she might be "buzzed" but not "totally blown." She was taken for a blood draw.
14An 18-year-old Glendale woman was arrested for underage drinking after a faculty member reported her "acting strange" and an anonymous report of her being intoxicated at Nicolet High School, 6701 N. Jean Nicolet Road, at 1:45 p.m. March 15. She told police she had been at a friend's house that morning since school didn't start until 11:30. A witness, also at that house, said people were drinking there. The student, who did admit having one beer and two vodkas, had a BAC of 0.15.
15A 22-year-old Glendale man was arrested for possession of marijuana, suspended registration, suspended driver's license and warned for speeding 50 mph in a 30 mph zone near Port Washington Road and Glen Bay Avenue at 3:25 a.m. March 16. Marijuana seeds, stems and leaves were found scattered inside the car and a trace amount in the glove box. At first the man denied knowing anything about the marijuana but then admitted he did smoke the drug and what was there was for his use only.
16A 39-year-old Bayside man was arrested for driving while impaired, no proof of insurance and refusal to take a breath test after getting stuck in a snow bank in the 2500 block of West Hemlock Road at 6 a.m. March 16. The man said he was in the area because he lived nearby but his home was more than a mile away.
17A 21-year-old woman, residence not listed, was arrested for drunken driving, driving without a valid license and warned for speeding 55 mph in a 35 mph zone in the 5600 block of North Port Washington road at 1:40 a.m. March 17. When asked why she was speeding, she said she wanted to get to Buffalo Wild Wings before it closed. She failed field sobriety tests and had a BAC of 0.12.
18Five boys, 15 to 17, residences not listed, were arrested for disorderly conduct and trespassing after refusing to leave Bayshore Town Center, 5800 N. Port Washington Road, at 4:24 p.m. March 17. The boys either did not have IDs or refused to show them and since it was past curfew were asked to leave. They refused a number of times but finally did leave but then ran back into the mall.
19Two bronze gravestones, a snowblower and a gas powered ground tamper, value not yet available, were taken from a storage garage at Glen Oaks Cemetery, 4530 N. Green Bay Avenue, sometime before 1 p.m. March 18. The garage door had been kicked in to gain entry.
20Three or four offices were entered or entry was attempted in the 5200 block of North Ironwood Lane on March 18 or 19. Computers and electronics, value not yet available, were taken from one office.
21A 42-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving and possession of marijuana after he was stopped for erratic driving in the 8500 block of North Green Bay Road at 10:10 p.m. March 21. He told police he had "three beers" and was lost. The man, who failed field sobriety tests saying he couldn't do them because "I'm intoxicated," had a BAC of 0.13. Marijuana including a blunt weighing 1 gram was in the car.
22A car was entered and items taken in the 1800 block of East Kenmore Place on March 12 or 13. There was no sign of forced entry and information on what was taken was not available.
23A $20 walkie-talkie was taken from an unlocked car in an unlocked garage in the 4500 block of North Newhall Street on March 14 or 15.
24A resident reported hearing numerous gun shots in the 2400 block of East Stratford Court at 2:40 a.m. March 16.
A resident reported she was the victim of identity theft after sending in her tax return and being told that "an unknown actor" had already sent in a tax return using her Social Security number March 16.
25Three Milwaukee men, 24, 25, 26, were cited for disorderly conduct after a 911 call reporting "boisterous behavior" and profane language outside a residence in the 4100 block of North Newhall Street at 7:40 p.m. March 16, The men, who are friends, drove away but their car was stopped and they were cited.
26An unlocked 2002 Ford Focus was reported taken from the 4000 block of North Oakland Avenue at 1:20 a.m. March 18. It was recovered that evening at 8 p.m. in the 1800 block of East Kensington Boulevard. There was no sign of forced entry.
27A 49-year-old Fox Point man was arrested for drunken driving, open intoxicants and failure to stop for a sign in the 3900 block of North Morris Boulevard at 7:50 p.m. March 19. He failed field sobriety tests and was taken for a blood draw.
28A 32-year-old Shorewood woman was arrested for drunken driving and speeding 41 mph in a 25 mph zone in the 3500 block of North Oakland Avenue at 1:45 a.m. March 20. The woman, who admitted having "a few" drinks, failed field sobriety tests and had a BAC of 0.21.
29A 22-year-old Whitefish Bay woman was cited for possession of marijuana after a noise complaint in the 100 block of East Chateau Place at 11:50 p.m. March 17. A man was waiting for police outside the apartment saying he was the father of the couple's child and had been baby-sitting when the woman came home intoxicated and now he couldn't get back into the apartment. Police knocked and when no one opened the door, a manager was called and opened the door. Police found the woman was sleeping on a couch and were unable to wake her up at first. They also found a jar with marijuana and a pipe with residue next to that couch. After waking up, the woman admitted sometimes smoking marijuana after work when she got bad tips. Police confiscated 6.6 grams of marijuana and the pipe. A relative of the woman came to help care for the child and police left. About 90 minutes later they were called back on another noise complaint. The woman yelled and screamed obscenities and was mailed a citation for a noise violation.
30A 50-year-old Oconomowoc woman was arrested for drunken driving, with two prior convictions, and speeding 54 mph in a 30 mph zone in the 6100 block of North Lake Drive at 2:33 a.m. March 19. She said she was looking for her boyfriend's home in Milwaukee. The woman, who admitted having one beer, failed field sobriety tests and had to be supported so she wouldn't fall over. Her BAC was 0.15 and she was taken for a blood draw.
31A 38-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving and imprudent speed after a report of a one-car accident in the 5800 block of North Lake Drive at 1 a.m. March 22. His BAC was 0.20.
A resident reported being the victim of a scam at noon March 22. She received a call from her "granddaughter" saying she was in a Boulder, Colo., jail and needed $5,000 bail sent via Western Union Money Gram to someone in Peru. The resident sent the money before finding out this was a scam.
