1A camera with lens, a video camera, cash and other items valued at over $1,300 were taken from a locked car at the Courtyard by Marriott, 5200 W. Brown Deer Road, June 22 or 23. Damage to a window was $350.
2A bicycle, sleeping bags and tools valued at about $200 were taken from a storage unit at a condo complex in the 4100 block of West Rivers Edge Circle on June 23. A lock was cut to gain entry. From five to six other units were also broken into, but no information was available on what might have been taken.
3A 14-year-old Brown Deer girl was arrested for a curfew violation after being reported missing from the 8000 block of North 54th Street at 10:30 p.m. June 24. The girl, who was to return home by 8 p.m., was found in the 4400 block of West Dean Road.
A Brown Deer couple reported their debit card number had been used to purchase over $300 of items from a Louisville KY gas station and a "smoker's outlet" June 29. The couple had never been to that city and they cancelled the card.
4A 19-year-old Milwaukee man with a Mexican Consulate ID card was arrested for disorderly conduct/domestic, possession of marijuana and underage drinking in the 5800 block of West Range Avenue at 6:40 p.m. June 29. The man, a passenger in a car driven by his 18-year-old live-in girlfriend, reportedly pounded on the dash board, tried to grab the wheel of the car and, after it was stopped, climbed on the roof. The couple had been at a Mequon restaurant, where the man admitted having a few drinks. He also had 3.3 grams of marijuana. The woman was cited for operating a motor vehicle without a license.
5A 25-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for theft and disorderly conduct at Kohl's, 9060 N. Green Bay Road, at 8:30 p.m. June 29. The woman hid jewelry and clothing valued at $166 in a large purse and when a loss prevention officer tried to stop her, the woman pushed the female officer and tried to take the phone she was using to call police. The suspect drove off but was stopped in the 8000 block of Interstate 43. The stolen items were recovered.
6A 35-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving with a prior conviction, driving with a revoked license and open intoxicants after witnesses reported seeing him weaving in traffic in the 5100 block of W. Bradley Road at 9:15 p.m. June 30. The man was found passed out in his car after hitting a street sign a few blocks away. Also found was an almost empty bottle of vodka. He admitted drinking after work about 10 p.m. However, it was only 9:15 p.m. The man had a preliminary blood alcohol content of 0.223 and was taken for a blood draw.
7A 22-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for theft and possession of 0.9 grams of marijuana at Kohl's, 9060 N. Green Bay Road, at 4:40 p.m. July 2. The woman hid a $24 leopard print skirt in another store's bag and tried to leave the store. When stopped, she said the theft was not that "big of a deal" because she didn't steal "the whole store." The marijuana was found her pocket.
8An employee reported her wallet, credit cards and cash, with a total value of about $86, was taken from a closet in a classroom at the Dunwood Center, 217 W. Dunwood Road, during the day June 29.
9A 24-year-old Hubertus woman was arrested for drunken driving, driving left of center, three warrants and driving 50 mph in a 35-mph zone in the 8000 block of North Lake Drive at 3:25 a.m. July 3. The woman's blood alcohol content was 0.20.
10A 17-year-old Fox Point boy and an 18-year-old Shorewood man were arrested for underage drinking in the 8000 block of North Mohawk Road at 11:55 p.m. July 3. A witness reported a possible accident and when police investigated and knocked on the door, someone inside turned off the lights. A bit later someone opened the door. Their preliminary BACs were 0.087 and 0.091.
11A 27-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving and warned for unsafe lane deviation after she was seen driving erratically in the 7200 block of North Lake Drive at 2 p.m. July 7. The woman, who smelled of alcohol and had glassy eyes, had a BAC of 0.25.
12Three Milwaukee men, 26, 42, 60, were arrested for theft following incidents at Pick 'n Save, 1735 W. Silver Spring Drive, at 2 p.m. and at Sears, 5900 N. Port Washington Road, about 3 p.m. June 29. They were stopped as they left Sears. Items valued at more than $400, including watches and men's cologne, were recovered. In their car, police found additional items valued at more than $400, including meat and detergents taken from Pick 'n Save.
13A 24-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving with a prior conviction, refusal to take a breath test, and driving 60 mph in a 30-mph zone in the 2400 block of West Silver Spring Drive at 2:55 a.m. June 30. When asked why he was driving so fast, he said he was keeping up with traffic. He was then asked if he could recite the alphabet. He said said "A, B, C, L, M, P" and stopped.
14A video game system valued at $297 was taken from a bedroom in the 1900 block of West Brantwood Avenue on June 30 or July 1. There was no sign of forced entry.
15Two bicycles, valued at $1,000 and $130, and a battery powered scooter valued at $200 were taken from an open garage in the 7000 block of North Braeburn Lane between noon and 3 p.m. July 2.
16A smartphone and charger valued at $230 were taken from an unlocked car in the 2200 block of West Green Tree Road on July 1 or 2. A trace on the phone located it in the 7600 block of W. Hampton Avenue and heading west.
17Two catalytic converters, each valued at more than $300, were taken from vehicles at the Hilton Inn, 4700 N. Port Washington Road - one July 2 to 4 and the other July 5 or 6.
18A 26-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for substantial battery after he allegedly punched a man in the face, causing injury including bone fractures, at Port Washington and Bender roads at 3:35 p.m. July 7. The suspect, who was a passenger in a car driven by his wife, said the other man driving a car next to them had disrespected his wife by calling her the "B" word. But he denied punching the victim, saying he only slapped him.
19A 20-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for theft of a bottle of nail polish remover at Pick 'n Save, 1735 W. Silver Spring Drive, at 10:15 p.m. July 2. The woman was recognized and admitted taking also bottles of the remover on June 23, 24, 25, 26, 27 and July 1. She said she took the polish remover because she does manicures for all her family members and doesn't have any money. The remover is valued at $1.79 a bottle.
20Three 15-year-old Milwaukee girls were arrested for theft at Kohl's, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive, at 6 p.m. July 3. The girls took clothing and jewelry valued at over $225. One girl was additionally additionally arrested for possession of a shielding device, a booster bag, and obstructing police after she lied about her name twice, gave a false name for her other and listed five incorrect phone numbers.

21A 28-year-old Shorewood woman was arrested for disorderly conduct after complaints of her yelling and screaming in an apartment building in the 1400 block of East Capitol Drive at midnight June 29. The woman had been drinking.
22A 41-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, having a suspended license, failure to have insurance and driving 48 mph in a 25-mph zone in the 4300 block of North Estabrook Avenue at 1:30 a.m. June 29. His BAC was 0.11
23A 21-year-old Shorewood man was arrested for disorderly conduct after a relative called police when he became disorderly, using profane language in front of children and police officers, in the 3800 block of North Prospect Avenue at 3:45 p.m. June 29. A 17-year-old Milwaukee girl, a visitor to the home, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
24A 24-year-old Whitefish Bay man was arrested for drunken driving and driving 38 mph in a 25-mph zone in the 3600 block of North Oakland Avenue at 7:10 p.m. June 30. His BAC was 0.10.
25A wallet with credit cards and $275 cash was taken from a purse in the 4400 block of North Oakland Avenue between 3 and 5 p.m. July 3. The resident discovered the theft after going to her bank and realized her wallet was gone and over $200 had been charged to one or more of her credit cards.
26A $250 Trek mountain bike was taken from the 3900 block of North Stowell Avenue at 3:30 p.m. July 4.
27An 18-year-old Mequon woman was arrested for underage drinking and violation of park hours at Big Bay Park, 5000 N. Palisades Road, at 1:50 a.m. July 3.
28Two 14-year-old Whitefish Bay boys were cited for possession/use of fireworks at Richards School, 5812 N. Santa Monica Blvd., early evening July 4.
29Ten Whitefish Bay boys, ages 14 and 15, a 16-year-old River Hills boy and two 15-year-old girls of Whitefish Bay and Milwaukee were mailed citations for possession/use of fireworks after they participated in setting off fireworks at Richards School, 5812 N. Santa Monica Blvd., at 9:15 p.m. July 4.
30A 24-year-old Colgate woman was arrested for drunken driving, failure to have insurance, failure to report address change, failure to signal, failure to display a license plate and failure to wear a seat belt in the 4900 block of North Newhall Street at 2 a.m. July 5. Two male passengers, ages 21 and 23 were cited for failure to wear seat belts.
31A 24-year-old Wauwatosa man was arrested for drunken driving, failure to stop for a red light and open intoxicants at Silver Spring Drive and Lake Drive at 10 p.m. July 5. His BAC was 0.15.
32A 19-year-old Whitefish Bay woman was arrested for underage drinking after she was seen running from a yard in the 5800 block of North Lake Drive at 1 a.m. July 7. Her preliminary BAC was 0.108.
33A 23-year-old Minnesota man and two Milwaukee women, ages 22 and 24, were arrested for trespassing and the man for open burning after a bonfire was reported on private property at the lake in the 4900 block of North Lake Drive at 2 a.m. July 7.
34A 48-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, no proof of insurance, failure to notify address change, nonregistration, refusal to take a breath test, impeding traffic and disorderly conduct at Henry Clay Street and Shoreland Avenue at 10 p.m. July 7.
35An 18-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a fake ID in the 5400 block of North Idlewild Avenue at 2:15 a.m. July 9. Her BAC was 0.22.
NORTH SHORE FIRE DEPARTMENT
Firefighters responded to 129 calls, 98 emergency medical and 31 fire/rescue, July 2 to July 8.
Various brush and other small fires were extinguished in the following locations: a brush fire at Capitol Drive and Morris Boulevard, Shorewood, about 4 p.m. July 2; a fire caused by hot coals dumped in the grass in the 6500 block of N. Milwaukee River Parkway, Glendale, at 10:15 p.m. July 4; another fire also caused by charcoal dumped near Green Tree Road and Sugar Lane, Glendale, at 1 p.m. July 5; a fire in cardboard boxes in a driveway in the 7600 block of North Applewood Lane at 3:30 a.m. July 7; and smoldering papers in a garbage can at the bus stop at Silver Spring Drive and Crestwood Boulevard, Glendale, at 4:10 p.m. July 8.
