Dec. 12, 2012

A Dec. 6 story in NOW on the 2013 River Hills budget included statements from Village President Robert Brunner and Village Manger Chris Lear indicating that fines and forfeitures revenue was below budget. This was the case in a monthly report provided to trustees at the Nov. 28 Village Board meeting. Police Chief Tom Rischmann has since stated fines and forfeitures revenue is ahead of where it was last year at the same time, and is roughly on pace with its higher budgeted amount in the 2012 year. He added that the village uses the Tax Rebate Interception Program as a matter of course to collect outstanding fines and forfeitures.
