BROWN DEER

More than $2,000 worth of jewelry including a gold wedding band and US eagle gold coin were reported missing as the victim was moving into a new residence in the 4700 block of West Deer Run Drive at 10:30 a.m. April 3.

A 20-year-old Brown Deer man was arrested for underage drinking after he was seen walking in the middle of the street and, according to a witness, stepped into the path of a car in the 9400 block of North Green Bay Road at 2:35 a.m. April 4. The man was sideswiped by that car but not badly injured and the driver not cited. He told police he was walking from the YMCA but then said he was driving but didn't know where his car was. He was taken to emergency detention. His blood-alcohol content was 0.15.

A 23-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving after police saw her driving at 5 to 10 mph with a shredded tire in the 5700 block of West Brown Deer Road at 1 a.m. April 10. The woman failed field sobriety tests and her BAC was 0.079.

A 21-year-old Brown Deer man was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, and refusal to take a breath test after a 911 call reported him driving on the median and weaving in traffic in the 5100 block of West Brown Deer Road at 2 a.m. April 10. He was taken for a blood draw.

A resident came to the Police Department to report theft of mail from the 8500 block of North 60th Street on April 12. She said her mail box had been tampered with and she hadn't received mail for 3 or 4 days including a tax refund debit card sent by a tax service. A representative of that company told police they received a call March 15 from someone saying she wanted to activate the card but hung up when asked to prove her identity. The woman's card was never activated and the tax service sent a new one.

FOX POINT

A $200 Global Positioning System unit, $540 in cash, a $100 digital media player, clothing and other items were taken from a car at Cardinal Stritch University, 6801 N. Yates Road, on April 8 or 9. There was no sign of forced entry.

A gold and diamond necklace valued at more than $9,000 was reported missing from a home in the 8300 block of North Greenvale Road on April 13. The home is for sale and has been open to possible buyers since the end of March.

A 30-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for reckless driving and driving after suspension in the 8700 block of North Port Washington Road at 2 p.m. April 13. Two witnesses called police to report him passing cars on the right, speeding at more than 50 mph in a 35 mph zone and weaving in traffic. A 59-year-old passenger, the driver's father, said his son was in a hurry to get to the bank.

GLENDALE

A 29-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of 2.1 grams of marijuana, not wearing a seat belt and an outstanding warrant after he was stopped for making an illegal U-turn in the 5500 block of North Port Washington Road at 2 a.m. April 7. He admitted to officers he had "some weed" in his jacket that he bought from a stranger for $10.

Thirty windows were found broken at Milwaukee Gear, 5101 N. Port Washington Road, at 7:30 a.m. April 7. The cost of the damage was not yet available.

A 15-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested April 10 for robbery of Chase Bank, 210 W. Capitol Drive, at 2:20 p.m. April 7. Milwaukee police arrested him and, according to Glendale police, he was "very cooperative" and admitted to the robbery saying he was sorry and to apologize to the teller. He also said he had a gun in the pocket of his hooded sweatshirt and that he threw both into a yard as he ran from the bank heading to Ninth Street and Keefe where he gave the money, about $200, to a friend, 24, of Milwaukee. That friend had asked the boy to rob a bank because the friend had "robbed most of the banks." The boy also said he tried to rob the same bank on April 3, but it was closed.

A 37-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, resisting arrest, driving after revocation, failure to wear his seat belt and refusal to take a breath test after speeding past an accident in the 700 block of West Hampton Avenue at 1:15 a.m. April 9. The man admitted having a "little bit to drink" and failed field sobriety tests. He also became disorderly telling officers he had to "urinate really bad." He was walked into a wooded area but had already urinated on himself.

Three Milwaukee women, 17, 18 and 20, were arrested for theft of clothing valued at more than $260 from GAP Kids, 401 W. Northshore Drive, at 3 p.m. April 9. The woman parked their car in front of the store, removed the rear license plate, put it into the truck and took out three empty purses. They took the purses into the store, filled them with clothes and walked out without paying. They were then stopped and arrested.

A $200 GPS unit was taken from a car parked at Kohl's, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive, about 9:30 p.m. April 9. Damage to a window was $200.

• A resident received a letter at 1:45 p.m. April 13 from her insurance company saying she had won $250,000 in a Canadian lottery and enclosed was a check for $4,970.20 to help pay Canadian taxes. She was to call an agent in British Columbia but she called police instead. Her insurance company did not send the letter and this was an attempted fraud, according to police.

A 32-inch flat screen TV valued at $550 was taken from the 5700 block of North Sidney Place during the day April 13. The house had been ransacked and neighbors reported seeing a pick-up truck in the alley about noon.

A $75 bicycle was taken from a garage in the 5500 block of North Bethmaur Lane on April 13 or 14. Two cars were searched but nothing was reported missing.

SHOREWOOD

A 23-year-old Green Bay man was arrested for trespassing and disorderly conduct after pounding on a car window in the 4600 block of North Ardmore Avenue at 6 a.m. April 11. The man, who admitted sleeping in that car and leaving his cell phone inside, was highly intoxicated. He thought the car belonged to his friend and that he was in Green Bay. His BAC was 0.18.

A 27-year-old Waukesha man was arrested on three counts of forgery by Waukesha police after he cashed checks taken from the 2500 block of East Shorewood Boulevard on April 13. The resident was notified by Waukesha police.

A 20-year-old Shorewood man was arrested for underage drinking and disorderly conduct after a noise complaint in the 3600 block of North Murray Avenue at 1:25 a.m. April 14. Police heard the noise from two blocks away and the man said he was sorry and admitted having "too much" to drink but he was celebrating his birthday.

Two LCD TVs, a DVD player, $600 cash, jewelry and other items, value not available, were taken from a home in the 4100 block of North Larkin Street during the day April 15.

A man grabbed an unknown amount of cash from a register at Creative Concepts, 4610 N. Wilson Drive, at 1:45 p.m. April 15. He was white, in his 30s, about 6-feet tall with a medium build wearing a hooded jacket and jeans.

WHITEFISH BAY

A 16-year-old Whitefish Bay boy was arrested for possession of one gram of marijuana at Estabrook Park, 4600 N. Wilson Drive at 2 p.m. April 10. He fled with two other Whitefish Bay boys, 15 and 16, when he saw police. They were stopped a block away. The other boys were not cited.

Two Whitefish Bay men reported being robbed by two men, one who implied he had a weapon, in the 5500 block of North Hollywood Avenue at 10:25 p.m. April 10. The robbers were between 17 and 20 years old. They took a $40 cell phone.

Two Milwaukee men, 19 and 23, were arrested for theft by fraud and forgery after they purchased electronic equipment paying for it with five counterfeit $100 bills in the 4800 block of North Bartlett Avenue at 9 p.m. April 13. Glendale police stopped the men's car in the 4800 block of North 19th Street. All of the property was recovered.

A 22-year-old Brown Deer man was arrested for drunken driving and his three female passengers of Milwaukee, 15, 17 and 20, for underage drinking after he ran a red light in on Silver Spring and Lake drives at 4:25 a.m. April 16. His BAC was 0.17.

Marijuana was found in two cars during a routine check by Brown Deer canine Officer Justis in the 5000 block of North Sheffield Avenue between 9:20 and 10 a.m. April 16. Marijuana weighing 180 grams or 6.3 ounces was found in one car registered to a 54-year-old Cedarburg woman. The investigation is ongoing. In the other incident, a 17-year-old Whitefish Bay boy was arrested for possession of marijuana, the amount not available, after the drug was found in his car.

NORTH SHORE POLICE DEPARTMENT

• Firefighters responded to 112 calls, 82 emergency medical and 30 fire/rescue, the week of April 12 to April 18.

A man was pinned between two vehicles while loading supplies into the back of his van and his wife "hit reverse and pinned" him between the vehicles at noon April 17. The man was not injured and the only damage reported was a bent license plate.
