Adventure Boot Camp opens in Glendale
Milwaukee Adventure Boot Camp recently opened at 4170 N. Port Washington Road, Glendale.
The custom-designed facility, which also houses the organization's corporate headquarters, includes a 6,000-square-foot "boot camp" and fitness area, a boutique-style personal training area and multi-function locker rooms.
The space is also available for rental to community groups, said Catherine Andersen, owner of Milwaukee Adventure Boot Camp.
NARI adds new members
The Milwaukee Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry recently added several new members. They include Carpet Network of Greenfield; Level Headed Carpentry of Oak Creek; Milwaukee Handyman of Brookfield; Peabody's Interiors of Whitefish Bay; and Units Mobile Storage of Milwaukee in Wauwatosa.
Cycling, yoga studio opens in Shorewood
CYGA, a fitness studio offering indoor cycling and yoga, has opened at 3575 N. Oakland Ave., Shorewood.
Julie Prochnow and Margie Freeman are co-owners of the studio.
The new studio's design incorporates eco-friendly elements, including recycled rubber flooring and lighting fixtures, eco-paint and salvaged shelving, countertops and signage displays. A retail shop in the studio features workout apparel made from bamboo, organic cotton and recycled plastics.
On the move
• Ebenezer Child Care Centers has named Lisa Lenyard the Center Coordinator for their new Mequon Center, located at 10333 N. Enterprise Drive on the corner of 66th (Enterprise) and Donges Bay Road. Lenyard most recently served as the Center Administrator and Director for the Wisconsin Franciscan Villa Childcare in South Milwaukee. She has a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from the University of Vermont and is currently pursuing her master's degree in early childhood from the University of Phoenix.
• John Dellinger has been named chairman of the Department of Pharmaceutical and Administrative Sciences at the Concordia University Wisconsin School of Pharmacy. He will also serve as associate dean of research. His responsibilities include developing the curriculum for the department and hiring faculty members for the opening of the school in fall 2010. He most recently taught in the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee College of Health Sciences.
