BROWN DEER

1A 22-year-old woman, and two girls, one 17, the other listed as a juvenile, were arrested for theft of more than $300 worth of clothing, including seven or eight bras, from Kohl's, 9060 N. Green Bay Road, at 2:30 p.m. July 17.

2A 34-year-old Brown Deer man was arrested for drunken driving, with three prior convictions, after lane deviation in the 4900 block of West Brown Deer Road at 2:30 a.m. July 18. When asked if he'd been drinking he said, "I drank a little bit tonight but that shouldn't keep me from deviating."

3A 29-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for disorderly conduct and damage to property after he broke two windows and a screen, causing $350 damage, at his former girlfriend's residence in the 4100 block of West Hawthorne Trace Road at 1:45 p.m. July 18. The victim, who was awakened by the breaking of the windows, said she was sleeping late because the man had kept her awake all night text-messaging her.

4A 48-year-old Brown Deer woman was arrested for drunken driving, illegal possession of prescription narcotics and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after being stopped for a defective tail light in the 4300 block of West Woodale Avenue at 2 a.m. July 19. She said she had been at a class reunion and had, "one, two, three, four, five beers." Her blood-alcohol content was 0.11.

5A 15-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested for attempted theft of an auto, entry to a locked auto and possession of tobacco and a 17-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested for attempted theft of auto, entry to a locked auto and being party to a crime outside Walgreens, 6020 W. Brown Deer Road, at 6 p.m. July 19. The boys admitted they intended to steal a van and had two flat-headed screw drivers and a knife.

FOX POINT

6A 20-year-old Waukesha woman was arrested for violation of absolute sobriety after she was seen driving 46 mph in a 35 mph zone in the 7200 block of North Lake Drive at 2 a.m. July 18. She admitted to having one beer, but failed field sobriety tests including reciting the alphabet from A to O. She recited from A to T and said, "I went past it." Her BAC was 0.03. A 20-year-old Delafield woman, a passenger, was arrested for underage drinking. Her BAC was 0.04.

GLENDALE

7Police are looking for a man and woman who stole two cartons of cigarettes valued at $202 from Pick 'n Save, 1735 W. Silver Spring Drive at 1 p.m. July 14. The couple came to the checkout with a cart filled with items, asked for the cigarettes and as the man wrote a check, the woman left the store with the cigarettes. The check was worthless, and the man got into a car and left. The man was white, 40 to 45, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and 180 pounds. The woman was white, 20 to 28, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and 100 pounds.

8Two Milwaukee girls, 15 and 16, were arrested for theft of more than $300 worth of clothing from Kohl's, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive, about 2 p.m. July 15. The girls admitted taking the items but gave no reason why.

9Items were taken from unsecured cars in the 5600 and 5700 blocks of North Argyle Avenue early morning July 16. Items taken included small amounts of cash, two pairs of jeans worth $100 and a digital music player.

10A 36-year-old Appleton woman was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia including spoons with cocaine residue during a routine check at La Quinta Inn and Suites, 5110 N. Port Washington Road, at 2:30 a.m. July 16. The spoons were found under a mattress and the woman quickly said, "That's not mine." She also said she didn't smoke marijuana but did use crack cocaine.

11Two laptop computers and other items valued at more than $3,000 were taken from two secured rooms at La Quinta Inn and Suites the afternoon and evening of July 16. There was no sign of forced entry.

12A 22-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for theft by fraud after she cashed a forged check for $850 on July 16 and attempted to cash another one for $900 both in the drive-through at UW Credit Union, 6016 N. Port Washington Road, at 2 p.m. July 17. The woman said she was approached by an unknown man near Hopkins and Villard avenues who asked her if she wanted to make some money. After she said yes, he gave her the check, a driver's license and told her what her name was. She offered another man $10 to drive her. She cashed the first check, met the man on the corner gave him the money and he gave her $250. The next day, at that same corner, the same stranger asked if she wanted to make more money. This time as she attempted to cash the $900 check, police arrived and arrested her. The driver of the car, a 40-year-old Milwaukee man, was arrested for an outstanding warrant. The driver's license used belonged to a Milwaukee woman whose wallet had been stolen in February.

13A camera, debit card and other items valued at more than $500 were taken from a home in the 2300 block of West Marne Avenue on July 17.

14A 35-year-old Fox Point man was arrested for drunken driving, with three prior convictions, and speeding close to 100 mph in a 55 mph zone as he drove north in the 5800 block of Interstate 43 at 11 p.m. July 17. He admitted to having two beers and two large vodkas. His BAC was 0.21.

15A flat screen TV, a laptop computer and about 100 DVDs with a value of more than $1,500 were taken from an apartment, which was found ransacked, in the 2600 block of West Custer Avenue on July 18.

16A 17-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested for burglary after he cut a screen to enter a friend's home and took a video game system and games valued at $270 in the 5400 block of North Bethmaur Lane the afternoon of July 19. The boy admitted taking the items because his friend owed him $5.

17A 42-year-old security guard from Cudahy and a 35-year-old front desk clerk from Milwaukee were arrested for disorderly conduct at the Hilton Inn, 4700 N. Port Washington Road, early July 22. The guard, doing floor checks, found cookie crumbs on the fifth floor and told the clerk, who told the guard to pick them up. The guard said it wasn't his job and the argument escalated from there. A witness said the guard threw a radio at the clerk but missed him and the clerk threw a clipboard at the guard, which hit his arm; the guard had it treated at a hospital. The clerk was also wanted on an outstanding warrant.

RIVER HILLS

18A 19-year-old River Hills man was arrested for drunken driving, with a prior conviction, after he was found sleeping in his running car in the parking lot of the River Hills Police Department, 7650 N. Pheasant Lane, at 5 a.m. July 15. Police had to bang on his window to wake him up. His BAC was 0.19.

19A motorcycle listed as stolen from a 46-year-old West Bend man was found in the 2800 block of West Deer Creek Court at 11 a.m. July 20. It had been involved in a high-speed chase on Interstate 43 on July 17. The chase was stopped for safety but Wisconsin State Patrol was able to get the license plate number.

• A 16-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested for indecently touching a female at 3:30 p.m. July 23.

SHOREWOOD

20A $400 wireless phone was taken from an unlocked car in the 4500 block of North Woodburn Street on July 18.

21Five flat irons valued at $500 and an undisclosed amount of cash were taken from Alex's Salon and Beauty Supply, 4042 N. Oakland Avenue, on July 18 or 19. There was no sign of forced entry.

22Prescription medicine and an undisclosed amount of money were stolen from an unsecured apartment in the 1600 block of East River Park Court between 6 and 7 p.m. July 19.

23A $100 bicycle left unsecured was taken from outside Walgreens, 4081 N. Oakland Avenue, at 11 a.m. July 20.

24A 12-speed mountain bicycle valued at $200 was taken from a garage and a one-speed bicycle with no value was left behind in the 1600 block of East Beverly Road overnight July 21.

25A 22-year-old Shorewood man who appeared intoxicated came to the police department to report the theft of his car that he said was parked at Feerick's Funeral Home, 3948 N. Murray Avenue, at 1:30 a.m. July 21. Police investigated and found his car in that lot.

26A lawn mower was taken from an open garage in the 3500 block of North Cramer Street on July 23.

WHITEFISH BAY

27Two bikes were taken from a shed in the 4600 block of North Morris Boulevard on July 20. One bike was found a few blocks away.

28A 22-year-old Glendale man was arrested for drunken driving in the 5200 block of North Lake Drive at 2:15 a.m. July 23. His BAC was 0.11.

29A resident reported that his sprinkler had been moved and turned on close to his front door, causing both exterior and interior damage of more than $4,000, in the 5800 block of North Maitland Court on July 23 or 24.

30A 27-year-old Waukesha man was found face down outside Whitefish Bay High School, 1200 E. Fairmount Avenue, at 5:45 a.m. July 25. He was intoxicated and said he was lost and tired. He was turned over to a responsible adult.

NORTH SHORE FIRE DEPARTMENT

• Firefighters responded to 123 calls, 86 emergency medical and 37 fire/rescue, the week of July 20 to July 26.
