The application period for residents interested in filling a vacant seat on the River Hills Village Board has been extended to 4 p.m. July 10, rather than July 2.
Trustee Cordelia Gelly's resignation takes effect July 1. Gelly was elected in April to a three-year term.
Applicants should send a letter to the Village Board at Village Hall, 7650 N. Pheasant Lane, stating their background and qualifications.
The board plans to interview applicants at 7 p.m. July 15.
