Village Trustee Cordelia Gelly today announced her resignation from the Village Board, effective July 1.
Trustee Gelly was elected to a three-year term in April. A River Hills Charter Ordinance provides that the Village Board is to appoint her replacement.
Applications to fill the position must be filed with the village clerk by 4 p.m. July 2. The Village Board will interview applicants at its meeting July 15.
Gelly and her family are moving to London, England, because of her husband's job transfer.
