The Fox Point-Bayside School Board last night decided to make 19 new Open Enrollment available at Stormonth Elementary and Bayside Middle schools for the 2009-10 school year.
Four seats will be made available in 4-year-old kindergarten, three in grade one, one in grade three, four in grade five, four in grade six, one in grade seven and two in grade eight.
District Administrator Gary Petersen made the recommendations based on class size limits, which are 19 for K4 and K5, 20 for grades one to four and grades seven to eight, and 21 for grades five and six.
It is possible additional seats could be opened to applicants placed on a waiting list as more concrete enrollment projections for 2009-10 come in.
The application period for 2009-10 ended Feb. 20.
