1A 28-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested Feb. 9 for theft, unlawful use of another person's identity and theft using stolen credit cards while working as a caregiver for an elderly couple in the 600 block of West Aspenwood Court from September to December 2011. The woman received double payments for her work - she was paid by the couple and again through direct deposit. She also lied about the hours she worked and collected extra payment for those hours. In addition, she stole checks cashing them for more than $5,000 and also stole at least one credit card making 48 purchases totaling more than $8,000.
2A 37-year-old Bayside man was arrested for fraud/theft in the 9300 block of North Port Washington Road on Feb. 15. The man had posted Super Bowl tickets for sale on eBay and received $5,000 as partial payment from a California woman in December. That woman never got the tickets or her money refunded. The man told police he had trusted a friend who said she could get him the tickets so he posted them for sale. After receiving the money, he found out she never had any tickets and by then he couldn't return the money because he'd already spent it. He did say, however, he would like to pay it back.
3A central air compressor was damaged in an attempted theft in the 8600 block of North 66th Street sometime before 6 p.m. Feb. 9. The unit was found about 5 feet from a window and had damage of $5,000.
4A 49-year-old Brown Deer woman was arrested for disorderly conduct after two neighbors reported the woman yelling and screaming in an apartment building in the 8200 block of North 46th Street at 12:30 a.m. Feb. 11. The suspect, who was intoxicated, refused at first to speak with police while continuing to yell. Later she admitted she talks to herself while picking up her mail and thought her neighbors might have misunderstood.
5A 23-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of marijuana and driving with a suspended license after he ran a red light in the 7900 block of North Teutonia Avenue at 4:15 p.m. Feb. 13. The man's 2-year-old son was in the car and the car smelled strongly of marijuana. A little more than 2 grams of marijuana was found in the man's jacket. He admitted the jacket was his but not the "weed" and denied knowing how it got there.
6A 28-year-old Milwaukee man was mailed a citation for hit and run after he rear-ended a car and fled in the 6000 block of West Bradley Road at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 13. Damage to the victim's car was more than $3,500.
7A mail box and post were knocked over causing $200 damage in the 4300 block of West Bradley Road overnight Feb. 13 or 14.
8A 23-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, with a prior conviction, driving with an expired license and expired registration after rolling though a red light in the 4800 block of West Green Brook Drive at 1:35 a.m. Feb. 18. The man, who police recognized as a local bartender, eventually admitted having "three beers and a shot" but didn't think he was drunk. His blood alcohol content was 0.14.
9A 40-year-old South Milwaukee man was arrested for fraud after attempting to use fraudulent prescriptions for 360 tablets of oxycodone and 40 of Valium at Walgreens, 8615 N. Port Washington Road, at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 18. The pharmacy contacted the doctor who verified that the prescriptions were fraudulent. The man is also a suspect in similar incidents in Brookfield and Kenosha.
10A 28-year-old Milwaukee man admitted he had taken jewelry while working as a seasonal employee at Shaw's Jewelry, 5800 N. Bayshore Drive, from Dec. 19 to 22 and reported Feb. 10. The man signed a confession when he met with the store's loss prevention manager and returned the jewelry, some now damaged, except for a $190 bracelet. His arrest is pending.
11A 19-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for underage drinking and disorderly conduct after causing a disturbance at iPic Theatre, 5800 N. Bayshore Drive, at 11 p.m. Feb. 14. The woman admitted yelling "Shut the (expletive) up" to others only because they had yelled the same to her. Later she apologized and admitted drinking vodka at the theater. Her preliminary BAC was 0.166.
12A 21-year-old New Berlin woman was arrested for drunken driving in the 200 block of West Coventry Court where she pulled into a driveway and then drove off at 2:30 a.m. Feb. 17. Her BAC was 0.15.
13A white gold ring was found at Glendale Mobile, 7156 N. Green Bay Ave., at 2 p.m. Feb. 17.
14A 43-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for theft of a 2010 Buick LaCrosse valued at $30,000 from Amato Nissan, 5200 N. Port Washington Road, the afternoon of Feb. 17. The man told a salesperson he needed an "extended test-drive" to get a loan which was granted. On Feb. 20, the dealership called police reporting they'd received a call from a probation officer and the man was now in custody and had admitted selling the car to buy drugs. Police interviewed the suspect who told them he picked up a drug dealer early morning Feb. 18 near 25th and Wells and they drove to the 7600 block of North Fond du Lac Avenue where he sold the car for six or seven rocks of crack cocaine which he smoked. Later that same day, he said he sold the car again for more crack cocaine which he again smoked. He then went to see his probation officer knowing he would not pass his urine test. The car has not been located.
15A 16-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested for felony criminal charge of knowingly fleeing an officer, driving while suspended, nonregistration and obstruction after he sped away from officers at more than 90 mph in the 4700 block of North Port Washington Road at 2:30 a.m. Feb. 18. The boy was found in the 5800 block of North 37th Street after abandoning the car a block away. The boy said he panicked when he saw police because he'd taken his mother's car without permission.
16A 14-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested for trespassing and possession of marijuana at McDonald's, 5344 N. Port Washington Road, at 5:35 p.m. Feb. 18. Police were called after the boy refused to leave the restaurant until he got his order, a Big Mac. He had 1.3 grams of marijuana, some in a bag and some in a blunt.
17Three 16-year-old boys and a 23-year-old man, all of Milwaukee, were arrested for disorderly conduct at Bayshore Town Center, 5800 N. Bayshore Drive, about 5:30 p.m. Feb. 18. The boys were told to leave because of the 5 p.m. curfew but they refused and yelled and swore at security. When police were called, they fled but were caught at the Park 'n Ride lot.
18From 20 to 50 juveniles were reported causing disturbances in and around McDonalds, 5344 N. Port Washington Road, and Taco Bell, 5570 N. Port Washington Road, between 3:15 and 6:30 p.m. Feb. 18. They fled before police arrived.
19A 16-year-old boy and brothers, 23 and 15, all of Milwaukee, were arrested for disorderly conduct on a bus in the 1800 block of West Silver Spring Drive at 7:15 p.m. Feb. 18. The driver called transit security when a group of about 40 juveniles were being disorderly. Security arrived and when the crowd would not settle down they called police and pointed out the three males for being the most disruptive. The older brother admitted getting in the faces of security because they "had an attitude." He was arrested for possession of 0.7 grams of marijuana. The 15-year-old was arrested for resisting an officer after pushing one as he got off the bus. The mother of the brothers was called by another son, also on the bus. When she arrived she shouted at officers saying "Who is beating up my son? He's only a child."
20A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving and illegal U-turn after knocking over a light pole in the 5400 block of North Port Washington Road at 3:30 a.m. Feb. 19. The man admitted having "a little bit" to drink and then said it was three shots and a beer. His BAC was 0.17.
21A 12-year-old Shorewood girl and a 14-year-old Milwaukee girl were arrested for theft at Kohl's, 5650 N. Port Washington Road, at 2:45 p.m. Feb. 19. The girls were seen on surveillance video putting 12 items valued at $261 in their purses and attempting to leave the store.
22A 15-year-old Milwaukee boy was mailed a citation for disorderly conduct and given a five-day suspension after setting a girl's hair on fire at Nicolet High School, 6701 N. Jean Nicolet Road, at 2:20 p.m. Feb. 20. The girl said the boy attempted to hug her and when she pushed him away, he lit her hair on fire and she had to pull out chunks of her burning hair. The boy said the whole thing was an accident - that he was just playing with the lighter when she got too close because he would "never hurt a girl's hair because he knows how important hair is to a female."
23A watch valued at $34,000 was taken from the 1400 block of West County Line Road sometime Dec. 10 to Feb. 11.
24A 24-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of K2, a synthetic marijuana, a warrant for a parole violation, riding a bike on the sidewalk and without a headlight in the 4500 block of North Wilson Drive at 1:20 a.m. Feb. 21. Shorewood police had stopped to aid Whitefish Bay police, when the man approached them riding a child's bike and yelling. The K2 was found in his pocket and he admitted purchasing it earlier in downtown Milwaukee. He also said he didn't know it was illegal.
25Two tires were reported damaged at Shorewood High School, 1701 E. Capitol Drive, the morning of Feb. 22. Damage was $300.
26A catalytic converter valued at $150 was taken from a car in the 800 block of East Kensington Boulevard Feb. 22 or 23.
27A snowblower was taken from the 4500 block of North Larkin Street before noon Feb. 24.
28A wallet and contents including credit cards was reported taken in the 4100 block of North Oakland Avenue between 5 and 6:30 p.m. Feb. 24. Before the theft was discovered charges of more than $700 were made on the victim's credit cards.
29A 19-year-old Mukwonago woman was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, a pipe with residue, absolute sobriety and failure to obey a traffic sign in the 4400 block of North Oakland Avenue at 1:45 a.m. Feb. 25. The woman, who failed field sobriety tests, admitted drinking.
30A 20-year-old Whitefish Bay man was cited for failure to notify police of an accident and imprudent speed after driving his car into a tree and fleeing on foot in the 4400 block of North Lake Drive at 9:45 a.m. Feb. 26. He was found a few blocks away and said he left the scene because he was afraid.
31Jewelry valued at more than $25,000 including earrings and rings, a $250 jewelry box, $300 cash, a passport and other items were taken during a burglary in the 5000 block of North Larkin Street during the day Feb. 20. A safe valued at $250 was also taken after being "ripped out" of a basement wall.
A 19-year-old Whitefish Bay man was arrested for battery/domestic after punching his younger brother numerous times in the face at 5:45 p.m. Feb. 20.
32A 28-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of 1.1 grams of marijuana, open intoxicants, driving with a revoked license, nonregistration, improper display of plates and a warrant in the 4800 block of North Santa Monica Boulevard at 12:30 a.m. Feb. 21. When asked about the strong odor of marijuana in the car, the man said his cousin had smoked the drug earlier. Two bottles of opened cognac were in the car, one sitting in a child's car seat.
33An 18-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, suspended registration and driving without a valid license in the 4600 block of North Oakland Avenue at 3:15 a.m. Feb. 23. His BAC was 0.11.
34A 21-year-old Middleton man, just four days after his 21st birthday, was arrested for drunken driving, faulty exhaust pipe, faulty taillamp and failure to display his license plate in the 4500 block of North Oakland Avenue at 2:10 a.m. Feb. 25. His BAC was 0.10.
35A 38-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, possession of a drug pipe and failure to stop for a flashing red light in the 4700 block of North Santa Monica Boulevard at 2:45 a.m. Feb. 26. The man, who admitted having four drinks, had a BAC of 0.11.
