The halls were alive with the "sound of music" last week at Nicolet High School. This twist on the famous Julie Andrews lyrics best describes the electricity and excitement that permeated the school. First there was the Nicolet Theater Department production of "Urinetown."
This musical satire was outstanding! The talented actors, musicians and behind-the-scenes crews created a truly memorable theater experience.
Then, on Wednesday afternoon, the cast wowed area senior citizens with a special free performance of this play (during A Taste of Fine Arts).
Finally on Wednesday evening the first new format "open house" took place. The high school halls bustled with excited eighth-graders and their parents; song, music and dance could be heard while visitors eagerly learned about the great things Nicolet has to offer.
We should all feel very proud.
Nicolet High School's tradition and commitment to educational excellence is obvious. Not only do students benefit, but our community prospers as this reputation spreads.
