1A 29-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for failure to secure her two children in safety restraints in her vehicle after a witness called police in the 8700 block of North Port Washington Road at 1:25 p.m. Oct. 11.
2A 22-year-old Menomonee Falls man was arrested for drunken driving after a report of a reckless driver in the 500 block of West Brown Deer Road at 11:45 p.m. Oct. 12. His blood-alcohol content was 0.21.
3A 24-year-old Greenfield woman was arrested for drunken driving after she drove through barricades in a construction area in the 600 block of West Brown Deer Road at 3:15 a.m. Oct. 13. Her BAC is unknown.
4A 21-year-old Bayside man was arrested for drunken driving after being stopped for a defective headlight in the 9200 block of North Regent Road at 12:30 a.m. Oct. 14. His BAC was 0.13.
5An 18-year-old Brown Deer man was cited for selling tobacco to a 16-year-old girl at BP Gas, 5125 W. Brown Deer Road, at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 30.
6Three cars were broken into at Courtyard by Marriott, 5200 W. Brown Deer Road, Oct. 4 or 5. Three GPS units valued at about $200 each were taken, along with CDs and other items. Damage to the cars ranged from $200 to $350.
7A 50-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for theft and carrying a concealed weapon, a knife, at Pick 'n Save, 9200 N. Green Bay Road, at 2 p.m. Oct. 5. The man took 11 bottles of female body wash valued at $51 from the store and, when arrested, was found with more than $600 in items taken from Kohl's and $193 in items taken from TJ Maxx, both in the 9000 block of North Green Bay Road. He admitted the thefts at all three stores.
8Two Milwaukee females, 17 and 18, were arrested for theft of rings and a pair of children's boots valued at more than $200 at Kohl's, 9060 N. Green Bay Road, at 6 p.m. Oct. 5.
9A 27-year-old Appleton woman was cited for contempt of court after she caused a disturbance at Brown Deer's Municipal Court, 4800 W. Green Brook Drive, at 7:50 p.m. Oct. 5. She was there regarding overdue citations for an unregistered vehicle and display of unauthorized registration in 2006. The judge said both citations would be forgiven if she showed proof of current registration. She produced a registration that expired in 2008. When told that wasn't current, she argued and kept interrupting the judge and court clerk. She finally apologized, when asked to do so, and was told her citations would still be forgiven, but she would have to pay court costs of $35. She became angry again and was cited for contempt. Her next court date is Dec. 7.
10A 52-year-old Brown Deer man was arrested for damage to property and two warrants, one of them for damage to property, at his condo complex in the 5600 block of West Brown Deer Road at 3 p.m. Oct. 7. He had broken glass on a door, causing $200 in damage, because he was "locked out."
• Brown Deer police made one arrest related to domestic violence last week.
11Three 15-year-old Bayside boys were cited for underage drinking at Doctors Park in the 1800 block of East Dean Road at 9:45 p.m. Oct. 9. The boys and four other juveniles had built a bonfire on the beach. Police found beer at the site. The boys had preliminary blood-alcohol contents ranging from 0.01 to 0.095.
12A 51-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for theft and damage to property after removing the wrapping from and taking two DVDs from Best Buy, 8755 N. Port Washington Road, at 7:45 p.m. Oct. 12. The man also had prescription medicine without prescriptions, a morphine pill and two oxycodone pills.
13A man reported his $30,000 2006 Ford pickup truck with keys in the ignition had just been stolen from the 6700 block of North Reynard Road at 4:16 a.m. Oct. 13. He discovered the theft after receiving a text message from a roommate asking him "Where are you?" while he was in the next room. The roommate told him she heard his truck drive off. In a possibly related incident, police found an abandoned 1979 station wagon valued at $800 about 45 minutes earlier that had been stolen in Milwaukee on Oct. 11.
14A laptop computer, headphones and diabetic medication valued at more than $1,500 were taken from a room at La Quinta Inn, 5110 N. Port Washington Road, Oct 6 or 7.
15Two gaming systems and other items valued at more than $1,200, including house and car keys, were taken from a home in the 4800 block of North Mohawk Avenue between 4 and 7 a.m. Oct. 7. Entry was gained through an unlocked patio door. Also taken from the driveway was a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer, which was recovered in the 3300 block of West Good Hope Road at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 13 after the car thief ran out of gas.
16A 19-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for theft of five pairs of underwear from Kohl's, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive, at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 7. When arrested, he was found wearing all five pairs of the underwear, valued at $26.
17A 26-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving after being stopped for going 50 mph in a 35 mph zone in the 6100 block of North Port Washington Road at 1:20 a.m. Oct. 8. His BAC was 0.10.
18A 22-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for theft from a patient at Golden Living Center, 1616 W. Bender Road, Oct. 8. The woman, an employee, took a patient's debit card and used it to withdraw $300 at the ATM at Speedway, 6170 N. Green Bay Ave. She was caught on surveillance video. Later, she admitted the theft, saying she used the money for an abortion and would pay it back.
19A 38-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, with two prior convictions, failure to wear his seat belt and failure to have insurance after he was seen driving faster than 80 mph in a 35 mph zone in the 5400 block of North Port Washington Road at 2:45 a.m. Oct. 9. When asked how fast he was driving, the man said, "I think 25." He was taken for a blood draw.
20Two 20-year-old men and an 18-year-old man of Milwaukee were arrested for theft from an auto, being party to a crime and criminal damage to property after a number of cars were broken into at La Quinta Inn early Oct. 9. The men drove off but were stopped a few blocks away. The driver, the 18-year-old, was also arrested for driving after license suspension, with six prior convictions, improper display of the license plate, not wearing a seat belt and having no insurance. Victims reported that items valued at more than $20,000 were taken, including GPS units, a laptop computer and infrared equipment.
21A 28-year-old Milwaukee man reported being the victim of an armed robbery as he left work at General Plastic, 2609 W. Mill Road, at 11:15 p.m. Oct. 11. The victim said three men approached him as he walked to his car, one with a handgun. They took his cell phone and some cash, with a total value of more than $300. One of the robbers hit him in the face with the gun.

22A 20-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of 2.5 grams of marijuana and a warrant after police responded to a complaint of loud music coming from a car in the 3500 block of North Maryland Avenue at 12:30 a.m. Oct. 8.
23A 21-year-old Shorewood man was given medical assistance after witnesses reported him stumbling in the 2300 block of East Menlo Boulevard and the 2200 block of East Stratford Court at 4 a.m. Oct. 9. The man, who was not wearing pants and had a severe bruise on his leg, said he took off his pants after urinating in them. His BAC was 0.24.
24A 63-year-old Grafton man was arrested by a Milwaukee sheriffs' deputy with the help of Shorewood police for indecent exposure after witnesses reported him walking around nude in the 4000 block of North Estabrook Parkway at 3:45 p.m. Oct. 11.
25A 1934 pistol and holster, three boxes of bullets and an ammunition case were taken from the 1800 block of East Kenmore Place sometime Oct. 12. The victim is checking to see if other items, including another gun, were stolen.
26Copper wire was reported missing from a cable box after reports of a man on a roof in the 2300 block of East Capitol Drive at 8 p.m. Oct. 12. Another witness reported seeing a man on a roof in the 3900 block of North Prospect Avenue.
27A boy and girl, ages not available, were cited for loitering after they went into the same bathroom together at Citgo Gas, 1602 East Capitol Drive at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 13.
28Two 15-year-old boys, of Milwaukee and Whitefish Bay, were taken into custody and referred to youth authorities after they confronted and "beat up" a Whitefish Bay boy in the 100 block of East Chateau Place at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 12. The fight was over a missing digital media player. The victim was treated at a hospital for his injuries.
28A 29-year-old Whitefish Bay man was assisted when he was seen walking his bike at North Anita and North Shoreland avenues at 1:20 a.m. Oct. 13. The man, who said he was just walking home, had a preliminary BAC of 0.36. He was turned over to a sober adult.
29Two bicycles, valued at $7,000, were taken from an unlocked garage in the 6300 block of North Lake Drive between Oct. 11 and 13.
30Four tires on a car were reported slashed in the 100 block of East Fairmount Avenue at 8 a.m. Oct. 14. Damage was estimated at $600. The victim said her tires had been slashed more than a dozen times, and she believes she knows the vandal.
31Three Milwaukee women, 18, 30 and 31, were arrested for theft of four bottles of liquor valued at $82 from CVS Pharmacy, 240 E. Hampton Rd., at 6:15 p.m. Oct. 14. The teenager had two outstanding warrants.
32A 50-year-old Hartford man was arrested for drunken driving in the 200 block of West Silver Spring Drive at 7:20 p.m. Oct. 15. His BAC was 0.19.
33A 23-year-old De Pere woman was arrested for drunken driving in the 100 block of West Devon Street at 3:20 a.m. Oct. 17. Her BAC was 0.09.
NORTH SHORE FIRE DEPARTMENT
• Firefighters responded to 120 calls, 82 emergency medical and 38 fire/rescue, from Oct. 11 to Oct. 17.
34A 911 call alerted firefighters to fire damage in a garage in the 5300 block of North Mohawk Avenue, Glendale, at 7:45 a.m. Oct. 15. A wooden love seat was totally destroyed and a few boards on the cedar-sided garage were damaged. A grill with hot coals left too close to the love seat is believed to have caused the fire. Damage to the garage was estimated at $750.
