·Justin Gordon of Brown Deer earned his bachelor's degree in exercise and sport science, honors, and Emily Schweitz of Fox Point earned her bachelor's degree in exercise and sport science at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in August.


·Cary and Susie Silverstein of Fox Point have donated $50,000, through the Baye Foundation, to The AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin to help connect the electronic health records of patients who are receiving care in the dental and medical clinics operated by ARCW. This new electronic health record project at ARCW comes with a price tag of $100,000 and will ensure that the nation's largest and most comprehensive HIV clinic continues to provide high quality, patient-centered care to a constantly growing number of patients. Cary and Susie Silverstein live in Fox Point and have been donors to ARCW since 1994. A small business consultant and trainer, Cary Siverstein also is a feature writer for BizTimes Milwaukee and is president and CEO of SMA LLC and The Negotiating Edge.

·Kristin Myers of Mequon received an Early-Career Achievement Award from the University of Wisconsin-Madison College of Engineering on Oct. 11 during Engineers' Day, a celebration that honored the diverse of UW-Madison engineering alumni. For five years after graduating, she worked for Medtronic in Minneapolis and New York. In 2008, she began working on medical devices from the investment side as a partner at Skyline Ventures in Palo Alto, Calif. She earned an MBA from Harvard in 2009 and continued her focus on investment in devices and diagnostics in 2012, as a principal at Arboretum Ventures in Ann Arbor, Mich.
