Alison Kravit and Tim O'Brien were married Oct. 17, 2009, at the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center in Bayside.

Parents of the bride are Steve and Anne Kravit of Fox Point. Parents of the groom are Michael and Cathie O'Brien of Prospect Heights, Ill.

Judge Derek Mosley and Moshe Katz officiated the ceremony, which was followed by a reception at the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center.

The bride wore a strapless gown with sparkles on the bodice. She carried a bouquet of five red & orange calla lilies.

Maids of honor were Jessie Kravit of San Francisco and Katie Kravit of Los Angeles, both sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Emily Kravit of Kansas City, Mo.; Leslie Thau-Arnold of Madison; and Michelle Zimbler of Chicago.

Best man was Kevin O'Brien of Palatine, Ill., brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Jason Steffens of Brighton, Colo.; J.J. Kravit of Milwaukee; Noah Arnold of Madison; and Kurt Schild of Prospect Heights, Ill.

Flower girl was Avery Steffens of Brighton, Colo., niece of the couple. Ring bearer was Michaela Schmidt of Preston, Iowa, goddaughter and cousin of the groom.

The bride is pursuing her doctorate in child psychology at the Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology with anticipated graduation in August 2010. She is a psychology intern at the DuPage County Health Department in Lombard, Ill.

The groom is pursuing his bachelor's degree at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He is a welder at Jorgensen Conveyers in Mequon.

The couple met in 2005 and married on their four-year anniversary. The couple became engaged in Minocqua in August 2008.

They will honeymoon in Banff, Canada, in August 2010 for one week and reside in Fox Point.
