Samantha Steiner of Glendale and Brandon Cruz of Glendale, formerly of Pleasanton, Calif., are planning a Sept. 17, 2010, wedding at Lake Park Bistro in Milwaukee.
Parents of the engaged couple are Stephen and Lorna Steiner of Glendale and Janice and the late Gill Cruz of Pleasanton.
The bride-to-be earned her bachelor's degree in music education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and her master's degree in education from Mount Mary College. She is a music teacher at Cumberland School in Whitefish Bay and an instructor at Mount Mary College.
The future groom earned his bachelor's degree in speech communication from California State University-Long Beach. He is a television news and sports reporter in Milwaukee.
The couple became engaged when the future groom surprised the bride-to-be with a proposal on a walk bridge overlooking the Pacific Ocean while vacationing in Pismo Beach, Calif.
