Erin Lance of Milwaukee and Brian Vande Zande of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Randolph, are planning a Nov. 7, 2009, wedding in Milwaukee.

Parents of the engaged couple are Ed and Kathy Lance, River Hills, and Calvin and Char Vande Zande, Waupun.

The bride-to-be, a graduate of Nicolet High School, earned her bachelor's degree in child psychology from the University of Minnesota and her master's degree in special education from Cardinal Stritch University. She is pursuing her doctorate in education. She is a diagnostic teacher in Milwaukee Public Schools. She also operates a photography business.

The future groom earned his bachelor's degree in structural engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and recently completed his master's thesis. He is a structural engineer for Novum, Sarasota.

The couple met at Epikos Church where they will be married.
