Stephanie Claire Koczela and Robert Ryan Korom, both of Shorewood, are planning a Dec. 28, 2009, wedding in Shorewood.
Parents of the engaged couple are Emily and Mark Koczela, and James and Lucia Korom, all of Shorewood.
The bride-to-be is employed by Kiva Microfinance as a field support specialist for Anglophone Africa, working out of Nairobi, Kenya. She earned a bachelor's degree in International Development from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
The future groom is a second-year medical student at Cornell University in New York. He has a bachelor's degree in molecular biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
The couple became engaged in April 2009, in Entebbe, Uganda.
