Two test holes cut into the Nicolet High School gymnasium floor revealed water pooled under its base that can not be drained and is causing the hardwood floor boards to cup. The entire floor, which was submerged under two inches of water, will be replaced.

Nelson removes hard drives from computers that were partially submerged in the district offices. Cardinal Stritch College called the Nicolet District to offer assistance, and the district office and recreation staff have moved into temporary quarters in one of the college's computer labs.
District officials and contract crews are working feverishly to dry out and assess the damage to Nicolet High School where it is estimated that 80 percent of the school sustained flood damage from the July 22 storm.
