Winter recreational activities, such as sledding, ice skating, and ice fishing can be very enjoyable and help get rid of cabin fever. Unfortunately many winter activities put us either on, or in close proximity to frozen ponds, lakes, and rivers. Understanding the dynamics of ice can help us avoid a potentially dangerous situation, and may help save the life of a neighbor, friend, or loved one.
North Shore Fire and North Shore Health Partner to Provide Child Safety Seat Check Program
North Shore Fire/Rescue and the North Shore Health Department are excited to announce a partnership that will provide support for both agencies’ child safety seat check programs. Funding for training additional technicians is being provided by the North Shore Health Department through a Safety and Injury Prevention Grant Award under the Wisconsin Healthiest Families Initiative.
