A Good Day for Democrats -- Vote Today

Rarely can you look at a ballot and say to yourself -- wow, there's a candidate I can really get behind, but today is one of those days.

There are a few good races for County Supervisor where there are good candidates. Dan Cody is, without a doubt, the best choice for west side voters. His progressive ideas and willingness to take on tough issues, even if they are in conflict with the County Exec, makes him ultimately more qualified than the others; including the incumbent.

South side voters get to choose one of several candidates, the best among them being Chris Larson and Jason Haas. If either of them emerges to the general, voters would be well served by either of them.

On the Presidential side, either Senator Barack Obama or Senator Hillary Clinton would be an impeccable choice to go against the anointed Republican candidate, John McCain, in the general election. It would be nice to see their primary fight continue to close to the time of convention and if Wisconsin goes to Obama and Ohio and Texas go to Clinton as is expected, this fight will continue. It may be a bit of a blood sport but after all, who wants to go to a boxing match where there's a first round knockout?
