Just in Time for Christmas

We knew they were coming.  They said they were coming.

They came.

Who am I talking about?  Well, it's not who, but what?  The property tax bill, of course!

Remember last spring, when we voted to raise our taxes?  Well now it's time to reap those seeds from the springy election.  And the tax-and-spend liberals should all be grinning so wide that they can eat a banana sideways, because the tax bills went up for everybody.  And Brown deer the school tax when up 8.3%.  River Hills and Fox Point will see a 4.3% increase.  Glendale's tax went up 3% for schools also.  There's been so much news about the tax increases,  it's hard to keep them all straight.  It's impossible to keep them straight because they're all on the incline.  MATC had an increase of 7.7%.  And with all of the poll tax increases, the good news is that we will not see so many stupid people in the future.  Wouldn't that be the point of sending more money to schools? That's the tax-and-spend solution.  Just give more money for the schools and things will automatically get better.

The community will be getting better also.  Brown deer will be improving, nearly 3%.  Fox point will be improving over 4%.  River Hills; 3.69% improvement.  If we really get a good thing for our buck, the improvement in governments will go beyond these nominal rates. Shorewood reports their taxes are going down.  I hope their quality of life doesn't suffer. Whitefish Bay is also has seeing a decline.  Shouldn't it be going the other direction? Isn't this the whole idea behind tax increases?  Making things better?  That's what the tax-and-spend liberals tell me.  I wish they would get the message that the amount on their tax bill is only a minimum.  They can pay more.  With their push to keep raising taxes, you would think that the would be paying more.  But they aren't.  They think there are only paying their fair share when they're reaching into your pocket to increase your tax bill.

No, complaining is not going to make things better.  I'm not convinced higher taxes will either.
