I'm writing to take issue with members of the U.S. House and Senate. Yes, I know, everybody is sick and tired of their horrid performance. However what is truly frightening is all the damage being done by these legislative "leaders" because they simply do not know the law, and they are oblivious to what the result is of their shutdown actions.
It is more than alarming to watch members of the House and Senate act out without a clue about what havoc they cause. I have a vivid picture in my mind of Senator John McCain posing for photos and shaking hands with Syrian rebels, having no idea that some of these guys are al-Queda or worse. There he is smiling in pictures with men who are members of terrorist organizations that brought down the towers in Manhattan in 2001. Such idiocy and ignorance is all-too-typical of the dolts in Congress. And McCain is relatively well informed on foreign and domestic issues. But he, too, did not know that the shutdown took away death benefits for fallen soldiers. So, there McCain was in the Senate, chastising his colleagues about this. I have to ask Senator McCain: why didn't you know in the beginning that this would happen?
Senator Cruz from Texas is not interested in Obamacare or the shutdown, though he constantly shouts out about it. He has absolutely no idea what is included in the Obamacare law, and he has no clue about the impact of the shutdown upon the average American citizen. He is only interested in two things: 1) being a puppet for the right-wing extremists who fund his career; 2) putting himself into position to be considered as a Republican nominee for President of the United States [perish the thought].
People like Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner, my representative in Congress [ugh!]. has been in Washington a long, long time. Yet he gives no evidence of knowing the intricacies of the legislation and actions he supports. He just goes along like a goose-stepping lackey for extreme right-wing positions. His town hall meetings are a joke, and I ask you to check on a search engine about my confronting him about this several years ago.
The Tea Party has brought a new low to the Halls of Congress. Some of them are not intentionally acting in ignorance, they ARE ignorant. Enlightened people all over the world are asking about the U.S. And the dollar is no longer considered the stable economic bulwark, it is losing its trust because nobody can trust the dolts in Congress.
Let's end this shutdown. And then remember who caused it, and remember the ignorance that spawned it [no matter the Party], and vote these ignorant puppets out of office. The U.S. needs a breath of fresh air, and the Tea Party and its ilk are the most contaminating.
