Thanks for Nothing

You didn't do anything.

In a speech earlier this week, President Obama let us know what he really thinks. Americans are a bunch of lazy, unmotivated, credit grabbing sloths. There's no such thing as human achievement. There's no such thing as goal attainment. There is no such thing as individual initiative. The government has done it all for us.

If you have a business, you didn't build it. It's the government that made the road that your business. Let's look at history; it's the government that the interstate highway system that made it possible for Henry Ford built his cars. It's the government that regulates the utility companies that made it possible for the Internet. It's the government with its Free Press amendment to the Constitution that made it possible for you to read Logos of the Bogus. So don't none of you take no credit for anything else, you hear?

But, because I have my own thoughts, it makes me wonder: Why would the government allow the ATMs to be manufactured? As we found out over the past couple years, this is replaced a lot of jobs in the banks. Why did the government allow kiosks? It's almost as if the government wants people to be on unemployment. Why did the government allow e-mail? It is not only allowed the Postal Service to be robbed of jobs, but they are union jobs. The government needs more regulation on itself.

This is the new inspiration for 2012. A few years ago, we were hoping for change. Now we find out that all we need is more government in our lives. Yes, government is now supposed to provide us everything from cradle to grave. From prenatal to geriatrics. From early childhood education to public bingo halls. We ungrateful Americans have been taking so much for granted of what the government is providing for us. Some have called the government to do only three things: defend our shores, deliver our mail, and get off our backs. What a bunch of ungrateful liberty seeking citizens.

When we finally realize all that government can and will do for us, I'm sure citizens across this vast country will be willing to forgo the freedom and opportunity that we thought was ours and granted to us by the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. Why would we be willing to turn over everything we have earned under the guise of common good? We owe this as citizens, to turn over our lives, or fortunes, and our sacred honor to the government. Because as we find out as they take over more and more of the economy and our lives, that bureaucrats know best.

It's time to give gratitude to our Leader, President Obama: Thanks for nothing.
