FOR REAL PATRIOTS ONLY

I'm sick and tired of the armchair soldiers who sit back in their comfortable living rooms and demand military action.  You are not a hero because you state you support our military men and women.  Being a patriotic American requires more than that.  The real men and women who heroically fight for our country deserve more than wimpy toy generals hiding at home.  And they certainly deserve the best care we can give them when they return from wars that are too often started to profit the military-industrial complex.  We throw our young men and woman into horrendous situations that sometimes are primarily  for corporate profits.

If you want to get out of your comfortable hole, out of your token help for our veterans, then join me in entering specific, hands-on help for those who have served us and our nation.  Read this, and you should know what to do immediately if you are more than a phony patriot.  Get involved in helping our vets...

"The Vietnam Veterans of America has filed a lawsuit demanding records for 26,000 veterans of the current wars whom the group says were 'wrongfully discharged' for personality disorders.  The ARMY TIMES charges that two years ago Congress refined the rules for discharging people for 'personality disorder' as a pre-existing condition after it became clear that many troops, in fact, had post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or symptoms of that disorder caused by their combat experience.  The Defense Department's 'personality disorder' designation prevents thousands of wounded veterans from accessing service-connected disability compensation or health care,' said VVA President John Rowan."  -from Center on Conscience and War

After years of George W. Bush vetoing added funds for health care for our military vets, things improved under President Obama.  But it is obvious, we still have a long way to go.  You know where there is a vets center.  You know who your representative in Congress is.  You know how to write to the President.  You know how to join the Vietnam Veterans of America in their fight for our vets.  Get off your duff and act!

Whether Democrats or Republicans, our so-called leaders need a kick in the butt about this.  Act!
