The Senate Race Heats Up?

Business, climate change, County Government, Election, Energy, Government, Health Care, News, Politics, Presidential Politics, Reform, Religion, Smoking, taxes

Although quite predictable, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has been running stories about the Senate race here in Wisconsin that are not exactly objective. And in true liberal fashion, if you're not in lockstep with the progressive agenda, you're considered a mouth breathing troglodyte.

Ron Johnson came out in favor of believing that humans are not the sole cause of our changing environment. Yet all the lefties who believe in evolution, somehow want you to believe that the sun and the earth have stopped changing except for the forces of man. And the forces of man burning fossil fuels and exhaling carbon dioxide are poisoning the ecosystem that has been evolving for millions of years yet stopped about 10,000 years ago.

Ron Johnson is being criticized for not having a PhD in geology or ecology yet liberals have been preaching the gospel of Al Gore who also lacks a degree in atmospheric science and biology. His PowerPoint presentation may have won him the Nobel Prize for peace, but that did not make him the premier expert in earth sciences. Yet somehow, they are supposed to set aside what we know about climate gate and poke fun at Ron Johnson because he does not support a system that will raise taxes on all Americans and double what we are now paying for energy.

If this were true, we could believe that if India and China had put a price on carbon, the floods in Pakistan would have been reduced. In addition, here in the United States, we could've had a cooler summer and the rain would've come more evenly -- not all in July. And we mustn't forget how the Street opened up to swallow SUVs.

While we're mocking a common sense stand by Ron Johnson, we are diverting our attention away from the fact that Russ Feingold would once again vote in lockstep with the progressives and pass a cap and trade bill. If he stands up for the citizens of the state like he has with the stimulus bill, a health care bill, and the financial reform bill, the citizens of this state better get prepared to pay. And pay big.

It's time to do what we can to stop radical agenda that was elected in 2008. It's time to stop throwing away our economic opportunity for higher taxes and more regulation. It's time to stop surrendering our freedom and liberties. Hope did not make things better. Hope continues to ruin the economy and increase our dependence on a government that taxes too much and regulates too heavily and spends way too much. Hope did not work. Maybe this time we should try faith. We need to have faith that we can make things better again and make America great again. It's time for action.
